The goal of this themed museum is to bring to life the different aspects of the Olympic Games, which were held in the Savoie in February 1992, and whose main legacy was the improvement and development of the mountain infrastructure for winter sports.
The creation of the museum was based on the principle of an interpretive centre : to see, to touch or to hear in order to understand, to entertain or to explain.
In the heart of the Savoie, the "Olympic Tracks" centre presents the history of the 20th century from the perspective of a museum where "Sport is culture", as sport and mountain culture are intimately linked in the region.
- Begin in the footsteps of the founder of the modern Olympic movement, Pierre de Coubertin.
- Relive the magic of the ceremonies of Philippe Decouflé.
- Follow the tracks of the ski champions Sonja Henie, Émile Allais, Jean-Claude Killy, Perrine Pelen, Edgar Grospiron, Karine Ruby, Gwendal Peizerat….
- Admire the innovations of inventors such as Charlotte Perriand and the modernist architecture which is classed as "Label 20th century".
And breathe the fresh air of the resorts of the region !
